Room Temperature Martini
Room Temperature Martini
//
Room Temperature Martini is a cocktail made with Dry Gin, Dry Vermouth, and Chilled Water. The Room Temperature Martini has become one of the most popular variations on the classic Martini recipe, and is often seen as a more sophisticated alternative to the traditional version. The origin of the Room Temperature Martini is somewhat disputed, but it is generally agreed that Fleming was the first to write about the drink. In From Russia with Love, Bond requests that his martini be made with ""gin so cold that it becomes almost frozen."" This description led many to believe that the Room Temperature Martini was simply a mistake on Fleming's part, and that he actually meant to write ""dry martini."" However, there is evidence to suggest that the Room Temperature Martini was indeed intentional. In an interview with The New Yorker in 1963, Fleming claimed that he had created the drink himself, and that it was inspired by a trip to Spain where he had been served a dry vermouth on the rocks. Whether or not Fleming invented the drink, the Room Temperature Martini will be a hit at your next party.
