The Chrysanthemum is a strong, sweet cocktail with a deep yellow color and a thick, syrupy consistency made from Absinthe, Brandy, and Dry Vermouth. It has a sweet taste with hints of citrus and anise. The Brandy adds a smooth body to the drink, while the Dry Vermouth gives it a crisp and refreshing finish. The cocktail was created in the early 1900s by Hugo Ensslin. The Chrysanthemum was very popular in the early 20th century, but fell out of favor after Prohibition was enacted in the United States. It has since been making a comeback and can now be found in bars and liquor stores across the country.
